|Andover Middle School student competes in National Braille Challenge|

Rich Yamamoto, a student at Andover Middle School was chosen as one of 12 finalists from his age group to attend the 2015 National Braille Challenge in California after he won the regional challenge in February. As a contestant in the regional Challenge, Rich received a brailled certificate of appreciation and general feedback on his performance for his family and educators.
The Braille Challenge is a unique academic competition. It is a two-stage contest designed to motivate visually impaired students to emphasize their study of braille by rewarding their success with fun and challenging local and national events. The preliminary Challenge contest events were held January through March.
