Medications at school can be administered by your school nurse. Appropriate forms are available at your school which require both physician and parental signatures. You may also print these forms from the USD #385 website. Medications will not be given without proper authorization. Parents may bring medication to school in the original container appropriately labeled by the pharmacy, or physician, stating the name of the medication, the dosage and times to be administered. Parents will need to make sure that their child has previously had at least one dose of the prescribed medication listed without suffering an adverse reaction. If you have questions or need further clarification, please contact your school nurse.
