The Nov. 14 Board of Education meeting of Andover Public Schools
included several special recognitions.
The Andover High School Girls Golf Team was recognized for
winning the state championship. Team members include Kelli Hamman,
Taylor Herren, Allison Morris, Katy Nugent, Paje Routhier
and Courtney Spangler. The team is coached by Marty Quy,
with Bob Reed as the assistant coach.

Eight students from Andover Public Schools were recognized at the Nov. 14 BOE meeting for being named National Merit Commended students.
Eight Andover students were recognized for being named
National Merit Commended students in the 2006 National Merit
Scholarship Program. These students placed among the top five
percent of more than one million students who entered the 2006
competition by taking the 2004 Preliminary SAT/National Merit
Scholarship Qualifying Test. National Merit Commended
students include Aubrey Bamford, Kevin Schaus and Allyson Nye from
Andover High School; and Tyson Baird, Kyle Claassen, Timothy Dwyer,
Matthew Johnson and Tori Phillippi from Andover Central High
School.
Congratulations to all these fine students.

The Rotary Club of Andover presented a check to the BOE at the Nov. 14 meeting to be used toward junior varsity baseball dugout covers.
Three donations were received at the Nov. 14 BOE
meeting. The Rotary Club of Andover presented a check for
$1,530 to be used toward junior varsity baseball dugout covers.
Club members Mary Laham, John Trowbridge, Mark Owens,
president Bruce Brittain and Ron Kutter were on hand to present the
check to Superintendent Mark A. Evans and BOE president Dale
Graham.
Mike and Susan Pool donated a Dell laptop computer to Andover
Middle School. Susan Pool attended the meeting and was
recognized by the Board for the donation.
Mitch Lyons donated football helmets to Andover Central High
School.
Thanks to each of these individuals and groups for their
continued support of Andover Public Schools.
