Kara Flaharty was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended high school at Derby High School. She went to Emporia State University for her bachelor's degree and is now attending Wichita State University for her masters degree. Her favorite sport to play is softball, but she loves to watch football also.
Something you may not know about her is that last year she went to the rodeo and rode a mechanical bull.
This is Mrs. Flaharty's third year at Andover. She is an assistant volleyball coach in the fall as well as an assistant softball coach in the spring.
