It was a great culminating activity for our animal research project. I need to add my WOW!!! The animal projects that you helped your child complete were just totally awesome. They were so creative!

We are busy with our economic unit, studying the differences between needs and wants, and goods and services. With the state of the nation’s economics, this unit comes at an appropriate time. We visited the Andover State Bank yesterday to procure our business loan for Rocket Poppers Popcorn bank, a joint venture with Mrs. Allison’s second grade class. We toured Vic’s Popcorn to understand how a real popcorn business works.
We selected our name and company logo and have been busy decorating our popcorn sacks. The advertising department has been busy creating posters and displaying them around the school. The sales department will begin their sales pitches today for the actual popping day of May 15. I have parents that have agreed to help us pop corn, but I am always willing to have a few more volunteers. We will begin popping and bagging corn at 8:35 on Friday, May 15. If you could volunteer an hour or two, please let me know.
