The last day of school for all elementary school students in the Andover Public School district has been changed to Wednesday, May 21. This will be a full day of school. The last day of school for all middle and high school students in the district is Thursday, May 22, with a two hour early release.
This change to the elementary schedule was made to help facilitate the transition and movement of teachers. It will provide elementary teachers the opportunity to pack and prepare for movement of classrooms this summer.
Andover will open two new elementary schools in the fall -- Wheatland Elementary School on 21st Street and Prairie Creek Elementary School near Kellogg and Andover Road. Also this fall, Meadowlark Elementary School students will attend Prairie Creek Elementary while Meadowlark is closed for renovations.
