Awesome!!!
Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year. I am eager to begin my sixth year in the Andover district. This year in addition to eighth grade language arts, I will also be teaching a sixth grade expressive language arts class. This should be an exciting year for all of us! It is my hope that each student will have a positive experience and will develop the skills needed to be successful in his/her future.
I feel honored to be a part of such a dedicated staff, and am grateful to have such a supportive community. I look forward to another rewarding year at AMS!
A little about me:
I am the proud mom of three wonderful children. Brittani, 24, is a WSU graduate and just got married to her new husband Arthur this summer!. She is currently an assistant manager at a local business. Heather, 21, is attending Middle Tennessee State University in Tennessee; she is majoring in recording industry. Ryan, 20, attends the University of South Florida (GO BULLS); he plans on working towards a degree in physical therapy.
I have a wonderful husband who brought us from the Sunshine State to the Sunflower State! With the exception of the snow, our move has been a positive one. I am a proud Army wife--my husband is currently deployed, but lucky for me he is in my home state of Florida! In my spare time I travel to Florida to see my husband and son, and I try to take in a Buccaneers game or two!
I am beginning my ninth year of teaching, and am in the process of obtaining my Master's Degree from Wichita State University. I am proud to be an Andover educator—what an amazing place to be! Both the district and the community value education and what is best for our children. It has been a pleasure teaching here thus far, and I look forward to the years ahead.
