Parents,
I truly have been blessed this year to have had your child in my class. What FUN Kindergarten is. It has been such a joy to watch your child learn and grow this year.
There are only eight more days of school. Here’s the upcoming schedule:
Monday: Art
Tuesday: Music
- Fun in the Sun—we will be riding a bus to District Stadium immediately following attendance. We will load buses at 8:45 and return around 10:45.
Wednesday: P.E.
- Last day for Box Tops
Thursday: Computer
Friday: P.E.
Monday: Art
Tuesday: Music
Wednesday: P.E.
- Pizza Party @ for our last day of school. I will provide the pizza, lemonade and cookies.
- There is an End of the Year assembly at 9:00 a.m. in the gym. Report cards will be coming home.
- Please make sure that your child brings a backpack this day so all final items can be brought home
- The math journals have a section on writing numbers which will be a great thing to work on this summer for “homework”.
- I’ve also bundled together the rest of the “home link” pages from our last couple of math chapters. There are some great ideas for you to review and work on this summer as family activities. Look for those papers coming home this week.
- If you were a monthly center helper in our class, your child will be bringing home a special gift for you in his/her backpack from the class this week. Thank you for all of your time and effort.
- The student “memory books” are coming home as a gift from me to your child. Please enjoy the wonderful memories of our year!
One last thing: Please come by and see me at Meadowlark next year. I’ll be teaching Kindergarten. School begins August 20th for 1st-5th. Have a GREAT summer!

8:25 to 8:40 Children arrive, put away backpacks, check-in chart, sit at their tables
8:40 to 9:05 Mon. Art, Tues. Music, Wed. P.E., Thurs. Computer,
Fri. C.A.M.P. classes will rotate according to lesson plans.
9:05 to 9:10 Restroom and drinks.
9:10 to 9:25 Opening activities and finish calendar activities
9:25 to 9:30 Explain centers
9:30 to 10:40 Centers
10:40 to 10:50 Milk and snack
10:50 to 11:05 Recess
11:10 to 11:35 Whole group activities except on Monday we will have Library or
Counselor. Students will go to the library or the counselor will come to
the class for a lesson.
11:25- Mark Blue Cards
11:35 – Dismissal
