Second Semester Schedule Changes

Students were given their Second Semester schedule Wednesday during Advisory. Students that need to make changes to their schedule will need to sign up in the Counselor's office for an appointment. The deadline for schedule changes is Wednesday, December 10.

"Christmas in a Box"

The KFDI “Christmas in a Box” was a great success. Students and Parents donated a combined total of $414.61 and Stuco matched this amount by donating $415.39. This made a Grand Total of $830.00 that was donated from AHS. Congratulations to the Freshman class as they were awarded the most COTY points for donating the most money. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Journalism Students Make Headlines!!

The following students placed in the National Journalism Education Association Write-Off Competition at the National Journalism Convention this weekend in St. Louis, Mo.:

senior Kendra Blose, excellent rating in news writing
junior Abby Hamblin, honorable mention rating in sports writing
sophomore Lane White, excellent rating in newspaper sports photography

The Write-Off Competition had the most entrants ever, and these students were competing against some of the best student journalists in the country. Congratulations!

FREE TUTORING RETURNS TO AHS!

AHS is offering free tutoring Monday through Thursday in room 107 from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. No appointment necessary and students do not have to stay the entire time. Contact Robin Anderson (218-4600 ext. 31122) or Sue Coffman (218-4600 ext. 31124) if you have any questions.

Daily Announcements...Don't say we didn't tell you...

Because we didn't!!! HA! Daily announcements are no longer read over the intercom. Students can read the announcements posted in the office or at the end of the student locker sections.

THE WINTER SPORTS INTRODUCTIONS are Tuesday, November 25 in the NEW GYM beginning at 7:00. The Booster Club is sponsoring a dinner and they are taking free-will donations for the meal. They will start serving at 6:00. There will be a gift basket raffle sponsored by the Booster Club and the Booster Club merchandise booth will be open to buy your AHS merchandise. Come out and see all of our great winter athletes!
