Awesome!!!

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year. I am eager to begin another year with enthusiastic eighth graders! It is my hope that each student will have a positive experience and will develop the skills needed to be successful in his/her future.

I feel honored to be a part of such a dedicated staff, and am grateful to have such a supportive community. I look forward to another rewarding year at AMS!

A little about me:

I am the proud mom of three wonderful children. Brittani, 23, recently graduated from WSU with a degree in business. She is currently an assistant manager at a local business. Heather, 20, is attending Middle Tennessee State University in Tennessee; she is majoring in recording industry. Ryan, 19, has traveled back to our home state of Florida to attend St. Petersburg College; he plans on working towards a degree in physical therapy.

I have a wonderful husband who brought us from the Sunshine State to the Sunflower State! With the exception of the snow, our move has been a positive one. In our spare time we love to travel the Kansas roads on our motorcycle and take in the sights. We are also avid country music fans and spend quite a bit of time in Nashville or attending local concerts.

I am beginning my eighth year of teaching, and last year I was honored to receive the Golden Apple Award. I am proud to be an Andover educator—what an amazing place to be! Both the district and the community value education and what is best for our children. It has been a pleasure teaching here thus far, and I look forward to the years ahead.
