Course Description: Welcome! Health class meets every day for nine weeks. It is a part of the K-9th grade Coordinated Health Curriculum Program approved by the USD #385 Board of Education. This course is required in the exploratory block sequence. Students will study units on physical, mental, and emotional/social health. Main topics covered are goal setting, decision-making, nutrition, human sexuality and AIDS education. Emphasis is on the cardiovascular system with a cow’s heart dissection as the highlight activity of the unit.
