Congratulations to Andover Central High School student Mya Acosta for representing her school in the YE Business Plan competition!

The competition, called “The Big Idea,” was held April 26. Mya competed against 15 other presenters out of 64. This year, the YE staff changed the process of awarding money to students based on their written plan, feasibility and scale-ability of their plan, and oral presentation. The panel of judges were each given a set amount of money to invest in a student's idea they felt worthy of their allotment of funds. In addition, eight students were selected to move on to the final business plan competition.

Mya was recognized and awarded $325 from the judges! She also received another $100 for representing ACHS as the class winner. She was not selected for the final competition round, but represented her school very well and had a great presentation. Congrats, Mya!
