USD 385 Hires Construction Manager At-Risk & Owner's Representative

On Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 the Andover Board of Education approved the hiring of Hutton Construction as the Construction Manager At-Risk and Icon Structures as the Owner’s Representative for Andover USD 385. The Andover community overwhelmingly supported the May 9 Bond Issue of over $188 million worth of school and athletic projects. The bond issue includes replacing Andover High School and Meadowlark Elementary. It also includes storm shelters and secure entrances, a district tennis complex, upgraded athletic facilities, a middle- and high-school orchestra program, an expanded preschool program, necessary facility improvements and many other student benefiting projects.

Since 1992, Hutton Construction has built and remodeled schools, hospitals, medical offices, manufacturing and industrial facilities, churches, office buildings, financial institutions and municipalities. Based in Wichita, KS, with three locations around the state, Hutton Construction has worked with 13 school districts in Kansas as their Construction Manager At-Risk, totaling over $500 million in completed work. “We are thrilled to have selected Hutton Construction as our Construction Manager At-Risk. Icon Structures will serve in the role as Owner’s Representative for USD 385. As the Owner’s Representative, Icon Structures will support the district in facilitating the overall construction process and day-to-day interactions with Hutton Construction, Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey Architecture, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and more in regards to the Bond projects.
