The Andover Advantage Foundation awarded its 2016 Academic Advantage Grants to classrooms and teachers at Andover USD 385 schools during the annual “Grant Squad”. This year’s grant awards totaled $68,922.60 and included funds to support the Andover School District’s ability to provide excellence in education. “The Andover Advantage Foundation is committed to supporting the Andover School District to ensure its teachers and students have what they need to be successful,” said Andrew Chaney, Andover Advantage Foundation president. “We are able to make positive impacts on the district and provide funding for innovative projects and educational tools that otherwise might not be funded by district funds. Each year, our foundation helps further the educational opportunities and experiences through our grant process. It’s inspiring to look at all of the grant submissions and see how the contributions of the Andover Advantage Foundation will have an impact on the education of our students.”
Over the past 19 years, the Andover Advantage Foundation has funded more than 925 Academic Advantage Grants and six special districtwide projects, totaling nearly a million dollars. Next year marks the 20th anniversary for the Foundation. “The Andover Advantage Foundation allows our district to provide innovative teaching and learning opportunities for students and teachers,” said Greg Rasmussen, Andover USD 385 Superintendent. “The partnership we have built with the foundation over the past two decades has grown into a one-of-a-kind relationship that benefits not only our schools, but also our community. As a district that prides itself on being fiscally responsible while maintaining our commitment to excellence, the Andover Advantage Foundation’s Academic Grants help us maintain our ability to provide world-class opportunities for our students.”
The Andover Advantage Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that provides learning opportunities for every student enrolled in the Andover Public School District.
