New principals

We're excited to announce three new administrators for the 2021-22 school year! The Andover Board of Education approved their new assignments on Monday.

  • Amy Champlin will join Andover Public Schools as principal of Andover Middle School. Mrs. Champlin has more than 20 years of experience as principal and assistant principal at Wichita Public Schools, most recently as principal of Curtis Middle School. She will replace Deb Regier, who is retiring.
  • Amanda Grier will become principal at Andover Central High School, where she has served as assistant principal for three years after serving in the same role eight years at Andover High School. Mrs. Grier replaces Cheryl Hochhalter, who is retiring.
  • Chad Gerwick will be the new assistant principal/athletic director at ACHS, replacing the retiring Doug Carr. Mr. Gerwick has taught math at ACHS since 2011.

Please join us in congratulating these leaders and wishing them well in their new roles!
