The population at Andover Schools is on the rise. With a strong history of increased enrollment, Andover USD 385 continues the trend by adding 34 new students to Andover this year with a total increase of 168 students over the last two years.

"We are proud to report an increase in student enrollment at our schools," says Greg Rasmussen, Superintendent of Schools. "Our exceptional education, continued success and growing community continue to bring new families to our system."

Enrollment in Andover elementary schools are up by 28 students from 2,273 students in 2014-15 to 2,301 students for the 2015-16 school year. Secondary enrollment in Andover is up by six students from 2,832 in 2014-15 to 2,838 students for 2015-16. The Andover eCademy virtual school, containing a population of both full and part-time students, has a decrease of 55 students. However as Andover eCademy continues to transition its focus, they have increased their full-time student population by 90.

"Education is the foundation of our community and why many people move to the Andover area," says Rasmussen. "Gaining 168 students over the last two years shows strong support for the Andover schools and reinforces that we deliver an incredibly valuable education. We are proud to be ranked at the top of Kansas school districts in student performance in the classroom, on the performing stage and playing field."
