Today is National Read Across America Day! To celebrate, members of the community read Dr. Seuss books to students at Robert Martin Elementary. The readers included Andover firefighters, police officers, Wichita Force football players, doctors, the Andover Public Schools Superintendent and the Assistant Superintendent. Students also dressed up in their best Dr. Seuss outfits.

National Read Across America Day is an annual reading motivation and awareness program by the National Education Association that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of children’s author Dr. Seuss. The day was first celebrated on March 2, 1998.
