Josh Wells, president
Josh serves as board president and has been a board member since 2013. He is a Communication Specialist at Spirit AeroSystems. Josh is married to Alicia and they have three children. His girls attend Andover Public Schools. Josh serves as a liaison to the Andover City Council and serves on the Board Policy Review Committee. Josh represents District 1.
Melinda Fritze, vice president
Melinda has been a board member since 2011 and serves as the vice president. Melinda is married to Mark and has four children, all graduates of Andover High School. She serves on the Governmental Relations Network, KASB Federal Regulations Network and the Bond Oversight Committee. She represents the At-Large position.
Bob Baier, member
Bob was elected to fill a vacant board seat in January 2018. He is a retired high school principal. Bob is married to JoAnn and they have two grown children, both of whom graduated from Andover Schools. He serves on many committees, the Board Scholarship Fund, District Recognition Program, Liquidated Damages Appeal Board and bond oversight committee. He represents District 3.
Andrew Chaney, member
Andrew was appointed to the board in September 2018. He lives in Andover with his wife, Chris, and their three children who attend Andover Schools. Andrew is vice president for commercial lending for Equity Bank. He also serves on the following Board committees: BOE Scholarship Fund, District Recognition Program (Outstanding Service Awards), KASB Federal Regulations Network and District Site Council. Andrew is also the district’s representative for the Interlocal.
Susan DeVaughn, member
Susan was elected to the board in November 2019 and was sworn in on January 2, 2020. She serves on the Board Scholarship Fund committee, is the Liaison to The Foundation for Andover School, and is the Andover City Council Liaison. Susan represents District 1.
Carly Haynes, member
Carly has been a board member since 1987. She is an inspector for the Kansas Board of Pharmacy. Carly and her husband, Darryl, have three grown children who all graduated from Andover Schools. She serves on the Liquidated Damages Appeal Board and District Site Council. Carly is also our South Central Kansas Education Service Center Representative. She represents District 2.
Jennifer Seymour, member
Jennifer was appointed to the board in May 2018 following a vacancy in District 3. She has spent 15+ years in secondary education and is the Campus Dean at WSU Tech's City Center campus. Jennifer is married to James Hall and has two children who attend Andover schools. She is a liaison to the Foundation for Andover Schools and serves on the District Site Council.
