Durham School Services provides transportation services for Andover Public Schools. The Transportation Department continually strives to improve operational safety and efficiency and put the safety of our students first. We are responsible for transporting more than 3,200 students to school each day, safely and on time. Andover Public Schools has more than 40 buses that travel 1,300 miles each day.

Transportation is provided free of charge for students living 2.5 miles or more away from their school. Students living closer than 2.5 miles from their school can pay for transportation at a rate of $275 per student, with a maximum charge of $400 per family per year.

The Transportation Department:

  • Provides on-time transportation service to schools and school-related activities.
  • Determines student transportation eligibility.
  • Establishes school bus stops for each school.
  • Verifies addresses for school boundary assignments.

We pride ourselves in the role we play in our education system. In many instances, we are often the first person of Andover Public Schools to meet the students in the morning and the last to see them at night. If you have any questions in regard to student transportation or address verification, please contact us at 316-218-4621.
