AMS begins project to solve water quality issues in Kenya
Andover Middle School teachers are spearheading a project for 6th and 7th graders to learn more about water quality issues in the world, particularly in Nairobi, Kenya. They first learned of this project Skype Master Teacher Livingstone Kegode in Nairobi. In response to learning about a busted water supply pipe at a school in Nairobi, the students and staff at AMS developed Project LINC in an effort to help. The kickoff of the project began with a Skype call on Jan. 20th with students in Nairobi. AMS will also be working with a class in Greece who is documenting the development of the project by creating and managing a website. This is a student-run cross-curricular project that will involve Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, Language Arts, Journalism, and Art classes.
